Yoon is a mental health expert with many areas of expertise and years of experience. He is licensed and certified in various areas of expertise including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, biofeedback/ neurofeedback, brain training, substance abuse counseling, court mandated treatments, and psychological assessment. He is a member of Korean American Independent Physician’s Association that promotes wellness of physical and mental health across the Korean American community of the Metropolitan New York. While providing mental health services at the Dr. Yoon Behavioral Health Center, Dr. Yoon also services as a vice president of integrated and value-based care at The Child Center of NY, which is a multi-social service and behavioral health organization and is the executive editor of S.CASA, a lifestyle magazine.
In addition to his extensive educational and professional experiences, Dr. Anderson Sungmin Yoon has received clinical trainings at various different institutes including the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Research in Philadelphia, the Linehan Institute in Seattle, the Play Therapy Training Institute in New Jersey, The Gottman Institute, Biofeedback Resource International, and MBTI Korea.
